The environment is very quiet and peaceful. The Avalon Restaurant up the road is excellent! If you select this hotel, only stay in the Superior, one bedroom apartment with the fireplace and air conditioner. The other rooms look nice but did not provide a confortable environment.

I was disappointed to be placed in a different room than my reservation for the first night of my two night stay. The excuse I was given was the manager only saw the resevation that morning and had guests in the room for which I reserved and prepaid. The first room was terrible. The dishes in the cupboard were dirty. The walls were thin, so we could hear our neighbors frequent conversations. The shower door is missing a slat, so water freely runs out into the bathroom. The water handle in the shower is very loose, so our showers were either hot or cold. There was only 5 minutes of hot water!

The room was clean and spacious. The restuarant next door was conveniently located, and offered a low budget menu. Freindly staff.

We arrived at 6PM to find an empty reception desk. After asking several peoiple and calling several numbers, we eventually made contact with one of the receptionists. They told us that they thought we were due the next day. After an hour and a half wait (this after a 5 hour drive) we were told that they had no record of our reservation!. However, we finally got checked in after nealy 2 hours of waiting. The shower was so small you could barely move, and part of the door was missing.

Friendly staff and atmosphere, quiet and romantic location, charming rooms.

Water in the pool couldn't be described as clean.

Good location between Chiusi and Montepulciano, not far from highway A1; Nice renovation of an old tuscan castle; Friendly staff

The swimming pool was out of order; The breakfast was poor even in " italian style"
